Design:
Archos 405 30GB Portable Media Player has a very unique sleek and compact design. It comes in a silver grey shade with all its controls arranged vertically towards the right of the player. This architecture allows you to access the controls very easily with your right thumb. The 3.5″ TFT display allows you to enjoy 16million colours. The dimension of this portable player is (HxWxD) 100×78x15mm and weighs just 190 grams.
Formats supported:
Archos 405 30 GB Multimedia Player supports videos of the format MPEG-4 and WMV files. The supported audio formats include MP3, WMA and WAV formats and that of photos are JPEG, BMP and PNG and as a bonus the PDF files too.
Memory:
With this 30GB of internal memory, you will be able to store up to 40 movies, 300000 photos or 15,000 songs. The songs can be easily managed using the enhanced ARCL library and customise your view by artist, album, type of music, title and you can create your own playlist on a go.
Photo viewer:
The photos can not only be just viewed, but can also be zoomed and present slide shows with a lot of music and transition effects. Your photos can be transferred form PC or most of the mass storage devices using the USB 2.0 high speed interface. You will also be able to manage your files and folders directly on the device for a better mobility.

Archos 405 30gb Silver is a very versatile MP3 player as it can be customised by adding optional accessories or software plug-ins in order to suite your needs. Personalising Archos 405 is fun as you can capture video and audio, record you favorite TV shows, share your images and voice notes can also be taken using the Built-in microphone.
The optional DVR Station Gen-5 can be used to record TV show whose programming are easy and comes along with the TV program guide. The recording can be done from most of the video sources such as satellite/cable box, VCR, DVD player in MPEG-4 format.
